Requiem was recorded on a 120 year-old church organ in Southern Africa. It is an expansive and meditative work that is masterfully performed by Franco Prinsloo. The subtleties of microtonal overtones produced on this particular instrument are explored in depth and at length. A hallucinatory organ fantasy, this evocative and minimalist piece exploits the instrument’s resonance until the human element is nullified.
